NATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL INSTITUTE (INA)

France’s National Audiovisual Institute (INA) is a public company with a unique model in the world. INA has a rich history of preserving television, radio, and web memories over the decades.

With over a billion video views a year, INA archives, preserves, digitizes, and broadcasts one of the world’s largest audiovisual libraries to a wide range of audiences. INA produces and distributes original works, offering its content and data to editorial teams, producers, directors, educators, and experts. INA is partaking in the reinvention of the audiovisual and digital ecosystem in a rapidly evolving environment, leveraging its unique expertise that makes it a distinctive media entity, rooted in long-term memory, and dedicated to transmitting the knowledge and skills entrusted to it.

INA, a producer of original content
INA develops, designs, and produces a variety of original content for diverse audiences and purposes, both for its own digital platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and for partners, including documentaries, digital formats, branded content, podcasts, and more. INA’s documentary productions, both original and co-productions, are now broadcast by the most popular French TV channels (Arte, France Télévisions, RMC Découverte, TV5MONDE, Histoire, LCP, Ciné+, Toute l’Histoire, etc.) and occasionally by international co-production partners such as the BBC, Autentic, YLE, RTS, and Al Jazeera. INA has 5 producers who contribute to documentary production on topics such as history, culture, society, and science.
