“H1N1, our viruses have a future” on France 5

H2N2, H3N2, behind these abbreviations hide biological “entities” known as viruses. Starting in March 2009, one of them, H1N1, has spread rapidly around all continents.

This documentary provides a scientific look at the spread and evolution of the pandemic influenza, since it first appeared in Mexico. Given the flood of information and interpretations, media exaggeration, controversies, this film is willing to provide explanations, details, nuances… It gives a first review on the real impact of this virus on populations, a year after its emergence. The ambition here is to provide keys to understanding these viral diseases which, we are told, will mark our century.
